How We Got Here

In the fall of 1991, Ron and Ann Clarkson began to dream of starting another church. They had been involved in two successful church plants – one in San Diego and one in Chicago.

Ann and Ron Clarkson moved here in June of 1992. The church began with a plan called "Project Springs." After a few months of networking they began to meet with interested individuals. A weekly Bible study began in August, and by December they began meeting in Rampart High School with a view to begin public services on February 7, 1993. "Project Springs," the plan, had become Community Church of the Rockies!

Community Church of the Rockies is the result of a high quality team of volunteers who were willing to trust God and do what it takes to see the vision become a reality. The excellent ministry teams made up of musicians, actors, dancers, teachers, technicians, top-level leaders, committed servants and prayer warriors have provided the solid foundation of a church that plans to make an impact on its community.

Now that we are a few years old, we look back and see God's hand guiding us (and sometimes pushing!). Through our first season of CCR we have seen our attendance grow, but more importantly we've seen many lives changed by the love of God and the new life He offers.
