Catalyst Student Ministries

Upcoming Student Events

July 16 (Wednesday) - July 25 (Friday): MiSSioN UnforGetAble 2008
All graduating 8th-12th grade students are invited to join us on this incredible trip back to Juarez, Mexico. Cost: $655 per student (don't panic: we'll help you raise that!).

Catalyst Student Ministry exists to raise up a revolution in the next generation.
We do this by UNITING and IGNITING students who are in such passionate pursuit of JC that they choose to love and REACH their friends.

Get Connected

Featuring 212° & Life Groups
Parents: be sure to see the note below for you.

Sunday nights: 212°
Connect yourself and your friends to God

(formerly called APEX, now to be called 212°)
Teens experience relevant messages that connect them to the Word of God, where they take part in breakouts giving them a chance to discuss the topics of the night in a deeper and more intimate way,  as well as opportunities to develop deep friendships.   212° is our #1 forum for them to bring their friends as a way of reaching out to them.

If you are a student interested in finding out more about God, this night is for you.

212° is a high-energy worship service that incorporates loads of student involvement.
When you check out 212°, you can expect:
-a rockin' band that makes you want to jump in.
-fun multimedia and comedy shorts with a purpose.
-messages that show who God is and how to develop your relationship with him.
-a chance to connect with other students in your shoes.

Life Groups
Community groups built around real life and real answers

Note our new meeting times (Thursdays):
Middle School @ 6:30-8:00pm
High School @ 7:00-8:30pm

These groups are tailored to those with common life experiences or grade levels where they experience learner-based, impactful, fun, and experiential teaching which relates and connects to their heart and life.

If you are ready to go deeper and be challenged to grow in your relationship with God, one of these groups is for you.

LGs are informal groups centered around life, community and the Bible.  If you come, you can expect:
     -a relaxed, conversational atmosphere.
-interactive Bible study that deals with knowing God, His Word, and what it means to live for Him.
-discussion that explores and applies the Bible to the real world.

In coordination with these ministries, CSM also has plans for  Service and Share projects every other month, student conferences geared on deeper discipleship teaching, fun outreach and community events, as well as our annual retreats, summer camps, and mission trips.

To the Parents
Dear Parent,

As you realize, your teen is in one the largest growth stages of their life. This growth is not easy with the pressures of today.  Statistics show that your child's generation is more stressed out than any previous generation. Each day your teen wakes up to choices in dating, homework, friends, fashion, popularity, family life, drinking, drugs, sex, and much more. Often, teens simply want to "tune out" by zoning to their latest CD, TV show, or video game. But we both know there is so much more to your teen than entertainment.

We understand that your child's life matters to God! Our goal in Student Ministry is to connect your teen with God and peers through non-threatening activities and events that encourage these important relationships and open up your teen's potential. We want to partner with you in this endeavor. The end result of a successful student ministry is way more than fun--it's an encounter with God!
